El Camino de Santiago de Compostela

This is the post excerpt.

As it is the season for outdoor (light) traveling in Europe, I thought I’d bring your attention to the Camino walk in northern Spain.

It is an (approximate) 800km walk from St Jean Pied de Port on the French border, over the Pyrenees, and then across breathtaking countryside in a part of Spain most people know little about.

Many people do the walk for many reasons, and you won’t only get fit as a fiddle: you will also meet wonderful walking companions who will make you believe in humanity again.

I run a non-commercial information website which I began when I walked my first camino, and which has lots of photos and Camino tips:

Please feel free to fire away if you have any questions by posting here or on my site, and I’ll be more than happy to provide you with anything you need to know.

Thank you and Buen Camino!
